With over a decade of government experience and six years of leadership practice, this lawyer, energy law specialist, international energy efficiency expert, and accredited ESG consultant brings extensive knowledge in energy law, tax law, and energy efficiency. Throughout their career, they have developed comprehensive expertise in the formulation of energy efficiency and climate policy, the national implementation of EU directives, and managing complex energy and sustainability projects.

They played a leading role in the domestic development of the Energy Efficiency Obligation Scheme (EKR), including related legal harmonization and strategic processes, and represented Hungary in international energy efficiency forums (CA-EED, EnR).

They were an integral part of establishing the National Climate Protection Authority and developing its institutional framework, serving as its president, overseeing the authority’s operations, monitoring and fee systems, and establishing control mechanisms. They also actively contributed to the development of several nationally significant professional systems, including the creation of the Greenhouse Gas Database and the WasteRadar application.

Their international experience is primarily linked to European Union policy and regulatory collaborations, as well as internationally funded projects. Representing the Hungarian Energy and Public Utility Regulatory Authority, they actively participated in professional forums and working groups under the auspices of the European Commission, particularly in the CA-EED, which coordinates the implementation of the Energy Efficiency Directive, and in EnR, which discusses energy efficiency and renewable energy policies.

In this capacity, they contributed to the interpretation of EU legislation, the professional preparation of its national implementation, and the sharing of best practices among member states. They also participated in the ENSMOV international project, which aimed at developing energy efficiency policy tools and incentives.

Additionally, they were involved in EU-funded KEHOP projects, particularly in professional, verification, and coordination tasks related to the Energy Efficiency Obligation Scheme and climate policy measures. Throughout their work, they maintained regular professional contact with experts from the European Commission, national ministries, regulatory authorities, and international organizations, gaining direct insight into the practical shaping of European climate and energy policy.

Throughout their professional career, they have played an active role in the development of domestic climate protection and energy efficiency professional training. They played a key role in establishing the climate protection authority and policy training system, as well as developing related methodologies and educational materials, contributing to the creation of a high-level, unified professional knowledge base within the domestic institutional system.

In international professional collaborations, they regularly participated in EU working groups, projects, and professional forums, where they supported the practical application of energy efficiency, climate policy, and ESG frameworks with legal and policy-oriented presentations and contributions.

With qualifications as an agricultural engineer, international economist, and energy engineer, they previously worked as an energy efficiency expert at the Hungarian Energy and Public Utility Regulatory Authority (MEKH). There, they played a leading role in the development of the Energy Efficiency Obligation Scheme (EKR) and the creation of the catalogue of standardized measures. They were also responsible for representing the authority in this professional field at the international level.

Their international experience is also significant, with participation in numerous EU and UN sustainability projects. They are employed by MEKH on a contractual, project-based arrangement, and also work with the Brussels-based Council of European Energy Regulators (CEER), where they contribute to the development and implementation of energy policies in Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Georgia. Their work also includes expert collaborations related to the European Commission's TAIEX program, particularly focused on ecodesign and product regulation in Turkey.

In addition to the aforementioned, they also play an active role in the work of the Energy Regulators Regional Association (ERRA), where they regularly conduct training sessions for energy regulators’ experts from around the world. Their presentations clearly and professionally address the latest challenges and best practices in energy efficiency, energy regulation, and ESG.

As an accredited ESG consultant, they are currently pursuing doctoral studies in energy regulation. Thanks to their advanced proficiency in English and German, and intermediate French, they are confident in navigating international professional environments.
